Team 1: The Dragons from Universidad San Francisco de Quito
Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) is a liberal-arts, private university located in Quito, Ecuador. It was the first totally private self-financed university in Ecuador and the first liberal-arts institution in the Andean region. It is ranked as the #1 university in Ecuador and #65 in Latin America by QS Latin America Rankings, 2021. USFQ's education model is aimed at the formation of leading, innovative and entrepreneurial professionals, serving the community within the philosophy of Liberal Arts and integrating everyone sectors of local and regional society.
The Dragons team is made up of 4 students with degrees in business admin and finance, marketing, and industrial engineering.
Team 2: Tecquium from Tecnologico de Monterrey
Tecnologico de Monterrey is located in Monterrey, Mexico. It was founded in 1943 by Don Eugenio Garza Sada and a group of entrepreneurs. Tecnologico de Monterrey is a private, non-profit institution committed to the quality of higher education in the country. The university has grown to include 36 campuses throughout the country.
Tecquium is comprised of 3 students with degrees in electrical engineering.
Team 3: Acarium from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi
King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburri is located in Bangkok, Thailand. It is an engineering and technology university in Thailand that focuses on teaching and research. It is one of nine national research universities in Thailand.
Acarium is made up of 3 students all within the computer engineering department.
Team 4: Acqua2 from the University of Trento
The University of Trento is an Italian university located in Trento and nearby Rovereto. The university was found in 1962 and has always aimed at building alliance and reciprocal efficiency with Italian and foreign institutions and organizations. In 1982, the university became public. It has more than 16,000 students and about 600 professors and researchers and provides an ideal environment for study and research.
Team Acqua2 is made up of 4 students pursuing a variety of degrees including computer/electronics engineering, physics, digital management, and historical/literary philological studies.
Team 5: Mobility Blazers of Virginia Tech
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), founded in 1872, is a leading public research university dedicated to teaching and learning, discovery, innovation, and service to humanity. Virginia Tech offers about 280 undergraduate and graduate degree programs to more than 37,000 students. The university fosters a collaborative environment that integrates technology into all disciplines so that the Virginia Tech community can serve as a force for positive change around the commonwealth, country, and the world.
Mobility Blazers' team is made up of 2 students from the civil and environmental engineering department.
Team 6: A[I]ble of the University of Trento
The University of Trento is an Italian university located in Trento and nearby Rovereto. A[I]ble's team consists of 5 students in various departments: cognitive neuroscience, international management, human computer interaction, and sociology.
