The Virginia Tech Global Case Challenge, held virtually for 2021, offers elite student teams from around the globe the opportunity to present solutions to real world industry problems.
Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center companies and stakeholders, from varying industries, present cases or written details of their company's challenge or opportunity, to which students will strive to develop the best solution within a specified time frame. Student solutions should be research driven and provide scalable solutions which have the potential to be implemented by each respective company.
A finalist will be chosen for each case, and one overall winner will receive a $40,000 cash prize and the opportunity for their idea to be implemented and create lasting industry impact!
Additionally, it provides students the time to virtually network and learn from business leaders, game changers, and top industry leaders as the program runs in correlation with The Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center's Game Changer Week
Global Case Challenge participants receive access to online events being held for the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center's Game Changer Week. Throughout the week of August 23-27, 2021, student teams will be provided access to any online events for Game Changer Week.
Game Changer week includes various events corresponding to tracks and provides attendees the opportunity to make connections and network with thought leaders, creators, inventors, and influencers. Tracks include but are not limited to: aerospace, biotechnology, university (Virginia Tech), software, technology, design, blockchain, and startups/early seed.
