1.   Join the Partnership and Pay the Annual Dues

VT KnowledgeWorks and all the other members of the Global Partnership would like to confirm your region’s full and active participation by completing the Annual Regional Partnership Registration. By registering as an annual regional partner and paying the $250 administrative fee, you commit to active involvement in our Student and University Tracks during the Global Partnership Week, August 21-27.

If you prefer to pay by check or wire transfer, please contact the VTKW Staff for more information.

2.  Student Team Registration for Global Student Challenge

After you join the Partnership, reserve a spot for the winning student team in your region at the Global Student Business Concept Challengeby submitting an Intent to Compete.  Each team or organization must submit an Intent to Compete Registration. Please review all rules and guidelines and direct any questions to the VTKW Staff to ensure a student team’s eligibility. Once your team receives email confirmation of a reserved place in the finals, each member of your winning student team and any accompanying faculty/staff must individually register, as mentioned below.

3.   Individual Registration

Please complete step 1 and 2 before you make your individual registrations online by credit card. Click on the "Register" button above to purchase event admission for the Student and University Track.  If you prefer to pay by check or wire transfer, please contact the VTKW Staff for more information.

Individual registration options include:

$100 - Student Track Registration, hosted by VT KnowledgeWorks, includes meals, lodging, and admission to all the week’s scheduled events.

$150 - University Track Registration, hosted by Virginia Tech, includes admission to the Global Student Business Concept Challenge, and celebratory meals throughout the week. It also includes participation in the university-to-university roundtable. This option is intended for university senior staff and/or faculty delegates charged with building institutional bridges to other universities around the globe. Workshops and other activities will be coordinated by the Virginia Tech Office of Outreach and International Affairs. Personal lodging reservations are made by each faculty.

4.   Lodging Reservations

Students will be assigned to host families during the Global Partnership Week, arranged by VT KnowledgeWorks and at no additional cost to the student.

Faculty/staff will receive special rates for hotel lodging but will need to make their personal reservations in advance at the following locations listed below.  Faculty/staff will also be responsible for making transportation reservations to and from the Roanoke Regional Airport for themselves and student teams.  View a list of contact information for transportation methods from the airport.
