Tastes and Sounds of the Valleys Reception -  Kick off the VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership Week in style with unique food and music from the Roanoke and New River Valleys at our reception in the Crystal Ballroom of Hotel Roanoke on August 22, 2012 from 5:30-8:00 p.m.  Help introduce our Valleys to the world, as we celebrate our growing place in the global community!  As a participant, you are guaranteed to make new friends in other countries, expand your personal network, and celebrate entrepreneurship.

Global Student Challenge Presentations - FREE, is available to a limited number of full-time university students and other attendees who desire to attend the Global Student Challenge Presentations in Washington Lecture Hall in Hotel Roanoke, on August 23, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (lunch is not included).  In order to attend, click on the "Register" button above and follow the steps to checkout.

Host families are needed for the Global Partnership Week to provide lodging, some meals, and rides to international students the week of August 19-25, 2012 who will attend our event and compete in the Global Student Challenge for the $25,000 grand prize! Host families will be included in several of the celebratory meals throughout the week.  Please reply to info@vtkwglobal.com if you are interested in serving as a host family and to learn more about the commitments involved.

A Donation Campaign for the VT KnowledgeWorks Global Partnership Week has recently been launched so local and regional supporters can help financially support the global students that visit the Roanoke-Blacksburg region for a week-long, expense-paid celebration.  Visit the link to learn more about this campaign and as a small token of appreciation, you will receive complimentary tickets to the Tastes and Sounds of the Valleys Reception at the Hotel Roanoke on August 22, 2012 to welcome our global guests to the region and enjoy food and music unique to our area.
